What crushing equipment is required for a granite crushing production line?

Granite is an intrusive rock in the magma rock, and it is a type of rock with a high quartz content. Its content is generally between 20-50%, and in rare cases, it can reach 50-60%. It belongs to a type of hard rock with high hardness and processing difficulty, which requires high requirements for crushing equipment.

Generally speaking, the main crushing equipment can choose jaw crusher (coarse crushing), cone crusher (medium and fine crushing), and vertical shaft impact crusher (sand making). Different crushers are suitable for different crushing stages, and combination crushing is needed. For the crushing of hard granite, a 2-4 stage crushing mode can be used depending on the production situation.

Two-stage crushing: Jaw crusher + cone crusher

This is a common two-stage crushing configuration for granite crushing. The jaw crusher is responsible for coarse crushing, breaking the large stones extracted from the mountains into medium sizes (discharge size around 5-30cm); the cone crusher is responsible for medium and fine crushing. It has different crushing chamber types for coarse, medium, and fine crushing. After the cone crusher crushes the stones, they can be screened to produce stones of different specifications, such as 5-10/10-20/20-31.5, etc. This configuration is simple and operates smoothly. It is a very economical and practical choice for medium and small-scale granite crushing projects.

Three-stage crushing: Jaw crusher + cone crusher + vertical shaft impact crusher

Based on the two-stage crushing, a vertical shaft impact crusher is added. The impact crushing can be used for stone shaping to remove the sharp corners of the crushed stones, making the particle shape more rounded and full, which is more in line with the application standards of high-grade highways, railways, and other high-standard stone materials. The impact crushing is also mainly used for the production of mechanism sand, which can further crush the stones, stone powder, and edge materials into mechanism sand below 5mm. This is a more classic configuration for granite sand and gravel production line, widely used.

Four-stage crushing: Jaw crusher + single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher + multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher + vertical shaft impact crusher

The four-stage configuration mainly includes the use of single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher for medium and fine crushing. Compared with a single cone crusher, the two-stage cone crushers can cooperate with each other, share the crushing and wear pressure, have higher crushing efficiency, and higher output. It is more suitable for medium and large-scale hard rock crushing projects.

In addition to the main crusher, a complete granite crushing production line also requires supporting equipment such as feeders, vibrating screens, and belt conveyors, which are responsible for material transportation, finished product screening, and other functions, to complete the production operation of sand and gravel materials.
