Currently, the tower-like sand making plant available in the market can be divided into two modes: single main machine and dual main machine, with the main machine placed either on the top or on the bottom. We will now analyze these two modes in detail: 

1. Difference between single main machine and dual main machine

When the production capacity is 60t~100t, the single main machine mode is mostly used.

When the production capacity is 100t~200t, the dual main machine mode is mostly used due to technical factors or other influencing factors in the main machine and screening parts.

The main differences are as follows:

- In terms of overall structure, the single main machine mode is simpler and more reasonable compared to the dual main machine mode, as it reduces one equipment. The more equipment and components there are, the higher the probability of failure. Therefore, the single main machine mode reduces the failure rate by half and also reduces the equipment maintenance intensity.

- In terms of operating costs, the single main machine mode reduces the number of wear-resistant parts by half, thus reducing the operating costs.

- In terms of process flow, the single main machine mode has a shorter standby startup time. In practical operation, all the relevant system equipment of the tower-like sand making plant needs to be started before production can begin. The startup time of a main machine is about 3-5 minutes, and the second main machine can only enter the startup process after the first main machine has completed its startup. During the startup process of the second main machine, all the systems that have completed startup need to remain in standby mode. This process undoubtedly wastes electrical resources. Therefore, the process flow of the single main machine tower-like sand making plant is smoother than that of the dual main machine tower-like sand making plant.

- In terms of environmental protection, the single main machine mode reduces dust generation points, making it more environmentally friendly. 

2. Difference between main machine on top and main machine on bottom 

Main machine on top: 

- Reasonable layout, smoother process flow.

- With the main machine on top, the sand making process adopts the principle of gravity from top to bottom, allowing materials to fall naturally and reducing the need for transmission components such as belt conveyors.

- With the main machine on top, the maintenance space is more spacious (the sand maker is alone on one floor, making it easier for maintenance with the help of a rotating arm).

- The arrangement of dust collection pipes for the main machine is simple and convenient, using fully enclosed chutes for better environmental protection. 

- The main machine requires a larger amount of steel, but its stability needs improvement.

Main machine on bottom:

- Requires less steel, and relatively better stability.

- The process flow with the main machine on the bottom is more complicated (considering factors such as feeding conveyors, discharge conveyors, dust collection pipes, etc.), and the maintenance space is relatively small, which is not conducive to worker operation. There are multiple dust collection points both above and below, and the complex pipe arrangement is not conducive。 

According to years of research and practical investigation, we recommend the single-host and upper-host mode. Whether from a technological perspective or maintenance and other aspects, the single-host and upper-host mode have significant advantages!
